History

Backwoods Construction, Inc. – BCI – started in 1987 as a small family-owned business focusing on honest, quality workmanship.

Our wide range of construction experience has enabled us to accomplish jobs in both the private and public sectors. We have completed many United States Forest Service jobs, stretching across the Rocky Mountain region, such as Hanging Lakes trail in the Glenwood Canyon, Dexter Creek bridge near Ouray, Jed Wiebe trail around Telluride and Aspen Cove snowmobile access road on Grand Mesa just to name a few of our projects.

In the private sector, we build roads, reservoirs, underground utilities, subdivisions, septic systems, recreation areas and more. These are just a few projects in which BCI has been involved. Our name says it all – Backwoods Construction, Inc specializes in remote and hard-to-access areas.
